EPS2 Web Central System
Each TVM is connected and communicates in real time with EPS2 Web, an account-based central system software application hosted on a cloud platform. EPS2 Web provides centralized system configuration, reporting, device monitoring with automated alerts, and numerous customer support modules such as over-the-counter ticket and smart card sales, change ticket redemptions, and remote resetting of TVMs
PAYMENT PROCESSING
The TVM supports acceptance of all denominations of US bills and/or coins, credit and debit cards, mobile wallets, and QR Change Tickets, a unique BEA product that provides passengers with a redeemable paper ticket when change is due for an overpayment.
Credit/Debit Card Transactions
Using a EMV-certified credit/debit card terminal with a PCI-compliant PIN pad and NFC reader, the TVM accepts standard debit and credit cards, prepaid debit cards, transit benefit cards, EMV bankcards, EMV-Contactless bankcards, and the most popular mobile wallets.
Coins
Through EPS2 Web, the TVM can be configured to validate and accept up to 32 different types of coins, including all US denominations, while rejecting and returning to the passenger any invalid coins or other objects. BEA-TT’s coin validator assesses numerous parameters such as magnetism, thickness, diameter, and ultrasonic resonance, enabling accurate detection and rejection (or acceptance) of foreign coinage.
Bills
Passengers are also able to use paper currency as payment for purchases from the TVM. The bill acceptor can accept up to six different types of bills of varying denominations and allows those to be inserted in four different directions.
BILL STACKER & CANVAS COIN BAG
The TVM has a removable Bill Stacker and canvas Coin Bag, which hold the validated and accepted paper bills and coins. The Bill Stacker and Coin Bag are locked into place inside the lower Revenue Cabinet, which is separately keyed and lined with sensors to detect and report unauthorized access.
